i always love seeing people go out and do something that they’re truly passionate about, and especially when those passions align with my own.  the driving force behind embrace is doing just that, with the vision of bringing low-cost infant warmers and incubators to over 100,000 babies worldwide by 2013.

currently, the core team is based in india setting the groundwork to begin clinical trials for the Embrace Infant Warmer.  when completed, it aims to maintain constant temperature (36-37 degrees celsius) for four hours, and at $25 a warmer, it will be less than 1% the cost of a traditional incubator.

as an actual business designing products tailored towards the specific needs of developing economies, embrace is a social enterprise in the true definition of the concept — a sustainable business with a social mission
